Coastal Downtown Engagement - Ventura CA

We shot in the road, outside storefronts, ran through the streets, and they even began slow dancing outside a bar playing Taylor Swift.

Vince & Naomi reached out to me after being recommended by a mutual friend of ours. Naomi told me that she wanted an adventurous session somewhere near the beach. So I got to planning!

We settled on shooting out in Ventura and be really intentional about having a good time. We started our shoot up by the San Buenaventura City Hall and we had a blast. We started off with some fun poses, then running down the walkways, and then sitting on a bench in front of some beautiful windows. Within those first couple moments, I knew that we were about to have a lot of fun.

Naomi & Vince were super open, playful, adventurous, and kind. I immediately felt close to them as we walked through Downtown Ventura. We shot in the road, outside storefronts, ran through the streets, and they even began slow dancing outside a bar playing Taylor Swift.

We ended the shoot down by the shore during sunset. I shot a couple photos of them, and then I left them to enjoy the rest of the sunset together. We ended up grabbing dinner together after the shoot was finished!

Jaden & Kylee Skatepark Couples Session

I have ALWAYS wanted to do a couples shoot with Kylee and Jaden. They have been close friends of mine, and they are so much fun to be around. They love each other so purely, passionately, and freely. I wanted to capture the whole of their relationship. The tenderness, the fun, the adventure, and most importantly…the love.

Jaden is a skater and has some of the BEST style of any friend I have ever met, and Kylee is so creative and adventurous. They work in perfect synergy with each other. Most importantly, their love is centered on Christ, and that is what makes it so beautiful.

When we started planning the shoot, I knew immediately that I wanted to take them to a skate park. It would capture them in their element. Jaden being reckless and Kylee crazy enough to let Jaden do a kick-flip over her! It was an awesome and fun experience, that allowed me to work creatively. It was an experience that I will never forget, and I know they won’t either! Plus the photos turned out BEAUTIFUL!
